  • Mary Jane Watson to Make Appearance
Shailene Woodley has reportedly been in talks to portray Mary Jane Watson in the next Amazing Spiderman movie. Well...she has now been confirmed to be playing the role, not only in the next film, in which she will appear just briefly, but will also have a leading role in the third film. However, that does make it sound like the next Amazing Spiderman will make it up to that fateful moment in The Amazing Spiderman #121...kind of dreading that.

  • Mummy Reboot?
Yes...the last Mummy movie did come out in 2008. And, yes...it was horrible because they made it without Rachel Weisz. I guess Universal decided to resurrect the original Mummy and just go and reboot the whole franchise. However, the reboot will not actually be a reboot and will instead feature a "very different mummy," according to Len Wisemen, who has been hired to direct the new film. It appears that they will take a "darker twist" on the original and make it "a scarier version" (Wisemen). Personally, I think they should have just stopped with the horrible third one and stopped destroying this great franchise.

  • Avatar Sequels
Jon Landau has recently stated that James Cameron will be shooting two back-to-back sequels to Avatar. Sigourney Weaver had stated prior that there were to be three sequels; Landau's comment does not necessarily mean that there will not be three sequels, there will only be two shot back-to-back. Unfortunately, with the Avatar 2, which will explore the oceans of Pandora being set to release in 2014 (which Cameron has said will be very difficult to do...so maybe 2015) that means that Avatar 4 would come out maybe in 2018...pretty far away. However, we can definitely expect Avatar 2 and Avatar 3 somewhere in the next couple of years.

  • The Third Hobbit Film Title and Release Date

Originally The Hobbit was going to be split into two parts, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: There And Back Again, however Peter Jackson shocked fans everywhere when he hinted a this year's Comic-Con that the masterpiece was to be split into three parts. There was thought to be no more funding for the additional footage that was going to be shot, but leave it to Peter Jackson to create something completely epic out of nothing. An Unexpected Journey is to be released December 14, 2012, with the second part, The Desolation of Smaug, to be released almost a year after on December 13, 2013. The final film will be titled There And Back Again, and will be released considerably quicker so that fans will not have to wait, on July 18, 2014.

  • Texas Chainsaw 3D

The newest installment of the Texas Chainsaw franchise has released a new poster for the film. The movie will be a direct sequel to the original 1974 film, taking place immediately after the events of the original, and will feature cameo appearances from some of the original actors. I don't know about you, but this poster is pretty creepy and, being a lover of slasher flicks, I am super excited for this new film, especially because it in 3D.

  • Pacific Rim Images Released:

Several images have been released from the set of Guillermo del Toro's newest venture into the mind-blowing epic-ness that accompanies most of del Toro's work. This one sounds like no exception as it revolves around humanity's struggle for survival against mysterious giant monsters rising from the sea. And how does humanity fight these monsters?
